Tour de France: Stage 11 Albi to Toulouse
Castelnau-de-Lévis, France

Today was awesome! After a rest day yesterday, it was great to get out and ride again and we were all excited to be back on the road. Stage 11 had been described as a transitional day before hitting the Pyrenees. The day began in Foix and wound its way southwest past millions of sunflowers. It covered two categorised climbs in the first half of the stage but thankfully they were nothing to worry about as they really weren't difficult at all. The second half was flat to rolling but for us there was a pretty strong headwind to battle with. As it was 37 degrees, the breeze was welcomed. We had the documentary crew from the US along and then some Dutch media caught up with Carmen for an interview as we rolled in to Toulouse. When we got back to where we are staying legendary sports' journalist David Walsh and Amelia Jabry were there to take some pics and interview us. As a special treat we made it out to an Italian restaurant tonight and I think the team will all agree the food was fantastic. Tomorrow we are off to the mountains fuelled by Pizza and pasta! Yes!
